Book ahead for a free guided tour for groups and individuals: discover othe artisanal workshops, enjoy a tasting afterwards. Visit takes approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Documentary film and dialogue in French, English, German. On Saturdays no tour of the workshps (workshops are closed at the weekend), film and tasting only on Saturdays.
The candied fruit tradition in Apt is an internationally-known art. Candying is a delicate, finely-honed craft which entails progressively replacing the fruit sugar with a syrup. This is the biggest candied-fruit plant in the world, and covers over 65 hectares of grounds. Come visit!
