Open since July 2000, this Museum was created by Yvon Lambert, who chose to present his personnal colleection of contemporary art to the public. The Lambert Collection, Museum of contemporary art, is also supported by the City of Avignon, the Minister of Culture and Communication, the Vaucluse General Council, the Regional Council, and private philanthropy such as the Fondation Cartier for Contemporary Art and LMVH.
