During the era of Emperor Augustus, early 1st century AD, a splendid Roman villa covered 12,000 m² here. Archaeological digs have turned up a 65-meter long pool, the biggest and best preserved in Gaul. Around this pool, a botanical garden faithfully recreates the atmosphere of the era, full of symbolic meaning.
