OpenThe 22 September 2012

Since November 2010, the "French meal" has been registered as intangible heritage for all humanity by UNESCO - a distinction which acknowledges the art of "good eating" as enjoyed in France. France has thus decided to hold a yearly celebration of its justly famous gastronomy, to mark the beginning of autumn - and Avignon has been chosen as a forerunner to start the concept. Avignon is also justly famous for its excellent restaurants and chefs.
